Description


thSolver is a Boundary Element Method solver for the 3D Poisson's equation in microdevice thermal problems. It handles multiple materials and Dirichlet boundary conditions. The discretization is done using isoparametric triangles, and both linear and quadratic elements are available. The domain integral can be calculated by regular direct evaluation, gaussian cubature, or adaptive direct evaluation. The user can choose between an iterative GMRES solver with Jacobi preconditioner and a Gauss elimination solver with backsubstitution and partial pivoting. thSolver was originally designed to study thermal problems in dielectrophoretic traps using the output of thSolver, but should be easy to modify to take other inputs. The source code is written in C and uses separate functions for most tasks to make modifications easier. Please refer to the user guide for detailed information.
