stkSolver is a Boundary Element Method solver for 3D Stokes flow. It supports a single fluid and Dirichlet boundary conditions -- given velocities. The discretization is done using isoparametric triangles, and both linear and quadratic elements are available. DescriptionstkSolver is a Boundary Element Method solver for 3D Stokes flow. It supports a single fluid and Dirichlet boundary conditions -- given velocities. The discretization is done using isoparametric triangles, and both linear and quadratic elements are available. The program can also calculate the hydrodynamic force and torque on a rigid body of arbitrary shape. The user can choose between an iterative GMRES solver with Jacobi preconditioner and a Gauss elimination solver with backsubstitution and simple pivoting. The source code is written in C and makes use of separate functions for most taks in order to make modifications easier. Please refer to the user guide for detailed information. Drag force on a sphere of radius 10 microns as a function of time after teh sphere is released with a initial velocity of 1 mm/s. 300 nodes were used to describe the sphere using quadratic elements.
